A 3-kilometer stretch in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh, has been dubbed the “Dancing Road” because of its numerous large potholes, which cause vehicles to jolt and passengers to sway as they navigate the area. Local resident Sandeep noted, “The road has become a ‘Dancing Road.’ One can see how vehicles bounce and sway in the potholes.”
After complaints were made to the district administration, the civic body began addressing the issue. Collector Bhavya Mittal confirmed that the Public Works Department (PWD) has been directed to fill the potholes, and repairs are currently underway. The situation is expected to be resolved soon.
The road, stretching from Shanwara Crossing to Lalbagh Railway Station, has been in this state for the past five months. Residents reported that the potholes have led to frequent accidents. Data from the district hospital revealed that over 20 people were injured in the past month due to these accidents.
