A shocking robbery at a jewellery store in Ghaziabad was caught on CCTV, showing two thieves disguised as food delivery partners stealing valuables worth thousands of rupees. One man wore a Blinkit uniform, while the other posed as a Swiggy delivery agent. The video, shared by ANI, shows the duo calmly filling bags with jewellery as the store’s lone employee stands nearby.
Soon after grabbing the loot, the robbers escape the shop. The employee, identified as Shubham, then rushes outside to raise an alarm.
According to the Times of India, the incident occurred in broad daylight and took just six minutes. The store owner, Krishna Kumar Verma, was away for lunch at the time, leaving Shubham alone to manage the shop.
Following the robbery, Shubham immediately informed Verma, who then contacted the police. Trans Hindon DCP Nimish Patil confirmed, “A plaintiff gave information that two unknown people on a bike entered his jewellery shop and robbed 20 kg of silver and 25 g of gold at gunpoint… Police inspected the incident spot and 6 teams were sent for investigation… A case is being registered and further action is underway.”
Meanwhile, Shweta Yadav, ACP of Sahibabad, told TOI that authorities are also looking into the possibility of inside involvement. “We are also probing the possible involvement of the employee who was present during the incident,” she said.
