“The Year of the Great Flood And Disasters”: Baba Vanga, and Nostradamus’ 2025 Predictions Says It All?

While 2025 has seen real natural disasters, the apocalyptic predictions linked to Baba Vanga and Nostradamus are unverified interpretations. The viral manga prediction has a tangible economic impact, but scientists confirm the weather and seismic activity are explainable by climate change and geology, not prophecy.

In the human mind, pattern recognition is a survival instinct. When the ground trembles beneath Delhi from an Afghan quake, when floods submerge America to Punjab, and when seismic swarms buzz near Myanmar’s coast, the conscious mind seeks a narrative. A viral manga prediction of a catastrophic July 5 tsunami in Japan ignited global panic, forcing a startling question- are the prophecies of history’s most famous seers like Nostradamus and Baba Vanga coming true in 2025?

With catastrophic landslides in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and severe floods in Punjab, northern India is experiencing a harsh monsoon season in a year already rife with viral doomsday prophecies. These current catastrophes seem to many like the parts of a bigger, sinister puzzle, one that prophets like Baba Vanga and Nostradamus are said to have set out.

What Did Baba Vanga and Nostradamus Say About 2025?

While the manga prediction is new, the fascination with 2025 has deep roots in prophecy.

  • Baba Vanga: The blind Bulgarian mystic, often called the “Nostradamus of the Balkans,” is said to have predicted a “great flood” in 2025. Interpreters of her vague prophecies suggest she foresaw a catastrophic coastal event that would devastate parts of Asia and reshape the world’s geography, leading to a “major conflict” over scarce resources.
  • Nostradamus: The 16th-century French astrologer’s quatrains are notoriously open to interpretation. Some scholars believe his writings point to 2025 as a year of immense upheaval, with references to “great floods” and “the sky burning,” which some link to extreme weather and volcanic activity. His mention of the “king of terror” descending in July has been tenuously linked to current fears.

How Does the Japanese Manga Fit In?

The 2021 manga “The Future I Saw” by Ryo Tatsuki—dubbed the “New Baba Vanga” after she allegedly predicted the 2011 Japan tsunami, has gone viral. It vividly depicts a massive tsunami hitting Japan on July 5, 2025, caused by a seabed crack. Despite having no scientific foundation, its timing, amid actual seismic swarms close to Japan and a recent volcanic eruption, has turned it from fiction into a dreaded prophecy for many.

What is the Verified Science Behind 2025’s Weather and Seismic Activity?

From floods in Pakistan and wildfires in L.A to unusual rainfall in India and the recent tremors in Delhi-NCR, the activity is real. The justifications are scientific rather than omen-based:

  • Climate Change: Verified by the IPCC and every major national science academy in the world, a warming atmosphere holds more moisture, leading to more extreme rainfall and flooding events.
  • El Niño: The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) confirmed a strong El Niño phase for 2023-2024, which disrupts global weather patterns, explaining much of the erratic weather.
  • Seismic Activity: The US Geological Survey (USGS) and other agencies confirm that earthquakes are caused by the movement of tectonic plates. The recent 5.8M quake near Afghanistan at a depth of 160 km was a standard geologic event. Not because of the prediction, but because of the effective transmission of seismic waves from earthquakes, Delhi experienced its shocks.

Hence, as 2025 goes on, the world is seeing a struggle not between fact and fiction but between two powerful points of view—one seeking answers in the data of observable reality, the other seeking meaning in the arcane words of seers. Our urge to find a narrative in the midst of a tempest is revealed by our believe in the predictions, which may be the true story of 2025.
