A recent post on X has stirred controversy, as it purportedly reveals CCTV footage from outside a flat depicting a Swiggy Instamart delivery person allegedly stealing shoes. The video, now widely circulated, depicts the delivery agent arriving at the door with a grocery package, where he appears to survey his surroundings, including the shoes nearby. After delivering the package and seemingly checking his surroundings again, he initially walks away.
However, he then retraces his steps, carefully picks up one of the pairs of shoes, wraps it in cloth, and leaves the scene. The incident, which reportedly occurred in Gurugram, prompted a response from Swiggy’s official support handle, Swiggy Cares, urging the user to reach out via direct message for assistance. Since its posting on April 11, 2024, the video has garnered significant attention, amassing 716K views and sparking discussions about delivery ethics and customer service standards.
