Chariot Topples Amid Fair, Crowd Flees in Panic

The chariot, which was being pulled by oxen, JCBs, villagers, and tractors, suddenly lost balance and overturned. The massive crowd participating in the ritual was seen running for safety as the towering structure fell to the ground. The tragic event occurred when the chariots from Doddanagamangala and Rayasandra villages reached the fair.

Eyewitnesses claim that one person got trapped under the fallen chariot and succumbed to injuries. The Huskur Madduramma Fair, held annually in March, attracts lakhs of devotees, and the pulling of giant chariots is considered a symbol of prestige among participating villages.
