Influencer Sakshi Shivdasani recently shared screenshots of abusive messages from a troll after she spoke out against a police case filed against Ranveer Allahbadia. Initially, the Mumbai-based influencer voiced her opinion on the matter, but, in response, she was targeted by an angry Instagram user. This user’s harsh reaction came after Sakshi’s post, highlighting the intense backlash she received.
What Happened
Sakshi weighed in on the controversy surrounding Ranveer Allahbadia’s comments on India’s Got Latent. While she did not directly criticize his joke, she expressed opposition to the police case against the content creators involved.
She posted, “Thank God our country’s resources are being used to file FIRs against content creators so actual criminals can walk free.”
This came after a police complaint was filed in Mumbai against Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, and Samay Raina, accusing them of using abusive language on the show.
Abusive Messages
After her post, Sakshi received hateful messages from Instagram user Mayur Jain. Screenshots revealed that Jain called her offensive names, including the term “r****,” clearly upset by her Instagram Story.
Despite this, Sakshi didn’t take the abuse lying down. She found Jain’s address and business details, threatening to report him to the police. Later, Jain’s Instagram account was deactivated. However, it is unclear whether Sakshi followed through with her complaint.
Allahbadia’s Apology
Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia responded to the backlash with an apology. In a video message, he admitted, “My comment was not just inappropriate, it was not even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wished to use my platform and, obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I won’t give any context, justification, or reasoning behind what happened. I am just here to apologise. I personally had a lapse in judgement. It was not cool on my part.”
