Rohit Godara: The Gangster Tied To Moosewala Murder, AP Dhillon Attack

Rohit Godara, a name that has repeatedly surfaced in connection with some of the most notorious crimes in recent years, has once again made headlines. Godara, affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has claimed responsibility for a recent shooting outside Punjabi singer-rapper AP Dhillon’s house in Vancouver, Canada. This is just the latest in a string of high-profile criminal activities linked to the feared gangster.

Godara’s Claim of Responsibility
In a social media post, Rohit Godara openly claimed responsibility for the firing outside AP Dhillon’s house on September 1. “We carried out shootings at two locations in Canada—Victoria Island and Woodbridge, Toronto. The house on Victoria Island belongs to AP Dhillon,” Godara wrote. He further issued a warning to the singer-rapper, referencing his collaboration with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, a frequent target of the Bishnoi gang.

The Man Behind the Crimes
Originally named Rawataram Swami, Rohit Godara hails from Bikaner’s Lunakaran and has been involved in over 35 criminal cases, including murder and extortion. Once a mobile technician, Godara’s descent into the underworld saw him rise to a feared gangster, managing his criminal empire from abroad after fleeing to Dubai in 2022 under a fake identity.

A History of Violence
Godara has been linked to several high-profile crimes, including the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022 and the killing of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi in 2023. His latest claim of responsibility for the shooting outside AP Dhillon’s house comes after a similar attack on Salman Khan’s residence earlier this year.

The Threat to Salman Khan
Rohit Godara is also accused of orchestrating the firing outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai in April 2023. The attack, which fortunately resulted in no casualties, was reportedly linked to Khan’s ongoing threats from the Bishnoi gang. The Mumbai Police have since invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against those involved.

A Growing Menace
As Rohit Godara continues to claim responsibility for violent attacks, his reputation as one of India’s most dangerous gangsters grows. With an Interpol Red Notice against him and connections to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Godara’s influence in the criminal underworld shows no signs of waning.
