Sydney Thomas, a 20-year-old model, has become an overnight social media sensation after her appearance as a ring girl at the high-profile Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing match last week. The University of Alabama student captivated viewers at AT&T Stadium in Texas, with her presence drawing significant attention across social media platforms.

Following the event, Thomas saw a flood of praise and new followers, with her TikTok and Instagram accounts gaining substantial traction. On Saturday, she posted a TikTok video acknowledging the “overwhelming” attention, expressing gratitude for the support. “I’m happy you guys enjoyed the broadcast!” she wrote, sharing her excitement about trending after the Tyson vs. Paul fight.

With nearly 800,000 followers on TikTok and 400,000 on Instagram, Thomas thanked her fans for their overwhelming support. “I woke up to an overwhelming amount of love and support,” she wrote in an Instagram story. “I can’t thank you guys enough or begin to express how grateful I am. I love you all thank you for your kind words.”

 

Honored to Be Part of Historic Fight

Thomas also expressed her honor at being part of the historic event, posting on social media about the opportunity to work alongside boxing legends Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. “Getting the opportunity to step into the ring with @MikeTyson and @JakePaul for such a historic fight is something I never imagined I’d be able to say,” she wrote in a separate post. “History was made, and I’m truly honored to have been a part of it.”

The match, which marked Tyson’s return to professional boxing after 19 years, ended in a victory for Jake Paul via unanimous decision. The fight, streamed on Netflix, also featured ring girls Raphaela Milagres, Virginia Sanhouse, Delia Sylvain, and Lexi Williams. Despite the outcome of the bout, Thomas’s rise to fame has been a highlight of the event.
