On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas on 26 December, netizens took to Twitter to pay remember the sacrifice of Sahibzades and pay tribute to Guru Gobind Singh. Meenakshi Lekhi tweeted, “The martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Sahibzades holds great importance in the history of India. Their bravery and ideals continues to give strength to millions.” Babita Phogat tweeted, “The cold in that high tower was so cold that even the heat froze, but Mata Gujri ji and Sahibzade remained firm on protecting religion. History itself salutes their sacrifice and is proof that religion becomes great by sacrifice not by force.” Rakul Preet Singh tweeted, “No nation can be built great without building the character of its people. Thanking the honorable Prime minister Narendra Modi for taking a step in the right direction by recognising 26 December as Veer Bal Diwas in honour of the unparalleled sacrifice.”
