Rekha Stuns Fans With 20-Minute Dance Performance At IIFA 2024 At 69

Veteran actor Rekha lit up the stage at IIFA 2024 with her captivating performance, leaving the audience in awe. Proving once again that age is just a number, Rekha, dressed in an elegant Anarkali outfit, performed gracefully for over 20 minutes alongside a troupe of dancers, bringing a vibrant energy to the event.

The official IIFA Instagram page shared clips from her performance, evoking nostalgia for her golden era in cinema. IIFA posted, “The night lights up as the iconic and ever-glowing Rekha gives a stunning performance on the stage of the NEXA IIFA Awards 2024.”

In the video, Rekha danced to several classic tracks, including Lata Mangeshkar’s ‘Piya Tose Naina Lage Re‘ from ‘Guide‘ (1965), ‘Mohe Panghat Pe‘ from ‘Mughal-e-Azam‘ (1960), ‘Lag Jaa Gale‘ from ‘Woh Kaun Thi‘ (1964), and ‘Pardesiya Yeh Sach Hai Piya‘ from ‘Mr. Natwarlal‘ (1979).

Oh god, how can she make those moves at that age?” This marked Rekha’s return to the IIFA stage after more than five years.

Highlights of IIFA 2024

The second day of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2024, held in Abu Dhabi, saw a gathering of Bollywood’s biggest stars, including Hema Malini, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Vicky Kaushal, Shahid Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon.

A highlight of the night was Shah Rukh Khan, who not only hosted but also entertained the crowd with his signature charm. Joining him on stage were Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar, and together they performed to Shah Rukh’s hit song “Jhoome Jo Pathaan.”

The three-day celebration began on September 27 with IIFA Utsavam, dedicated to the southern film industries—Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. IIFA 2024 will conclude on September 29 with IIFA Rocks, an exclusive event featuring live performances by artists such as Honey Singh, Shilpa Rao, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
