PV Sindhu To Get Married On December 22: Which Destination Has She Chosen?

Indian badminton star and two-time Olympic medalist, PV Sindhu, has confirmed she is getting married on 22nd December. This she said straight from the horse’s mouth when Sindhu broke her silence regarding the news doing the rounds about her marriage on social media lately. “Yeah, I think it’s all over social media. Yes, I am getting married on the 22nd,” she said.

Achievements of Sindhu Recently

Sindhu’s personal news comes as she registers her impressive victory at Syed Modi India International title ending her two-year title drought. The victory was through straight games of 21-14, 21-16, against Wu Luo Yu of China. She took just 47 minutes for the victory. This was the first BWF World Tour title Sindhu won since she won the Singapore Open 2022. She has also reached the finals in the 2023 and 2024 Spain Masters as well as the Malaysia Masters but hasn’t been able to secure the titles.

A Career Filled with Glory

PV Sindhu’s career stands as an inspiration to millions of people. With five medals at the BWF World Championships, she equals the record with Chinese Zhang Ning. She made history at the 2016 Rio Olympics by becoming the first Indian badminton player to reach an Olympic final, when she eventually took away the silver medal from the tournament. Then, with a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Sindhu became the first Indian woman to win two Olympic medals in badminton.

Wedding Details and Pre-Wedding Celebrations

PV Sindhu’s marriage is scheduled to take place in Udaipur on December 22, and the pre-wedding ceremonies are supposed to begin from December 20. The formal reception will be held in Hyderabad on December 24. The bridegroom, Venkata Datta Sai, is an executive director at Posidex Technologies, and hails from Hyderabad, and is marrying Sindhu.

Sindhu’s father PV Ramana said the two families have known each other for some time, but the marriage plans were finalised just last month. Ramana further explained that the wedding timing was strategised considering Sindhu’s stringent training schedule ahead of the important season that starts from January.

Sindhu’s Future Plans and Business Ventures

Apart from her sporting career, PV Sindhu is also a great success in the corporate world. She recently inaugurated the PV Sindhu Center for Badminton and Sports Excellence in Visakhapatnam, thereby completing an important chapter of her journey as an athlete and a mentor.

As PV Sindhu is getting ready to get married, the focus on both her sport and personal life inspires her fans. Major events are coming for her, like a new international badminton season, showing that Sindhu’s love and passion for the game remains unbroken.
