Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi shared a comical and heartwarming exchange on social media. In an ANI podcast hosted by Smita Prakash, featuring Chaturvedi, she was asked about her social media posts with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the reactions they bring, she remarked, “I sometimes love irritating people, because they are so invested in my life, where is she going next, where’s she going next?”

Smita Prakash instantly responded that she is basically ‘Shashi Tharoor in a saree’. The comment made both of them burst with laughter. Chaturvedi said, “I don’t know whether that is a compliment for Shashi or for me, but I am going to tell Shashi.”

Priyanka ended up sharing the clip on X, where Tharoor responded, Thanks Priyanka. I consider myself flattered either way.”

Chaturvedi also noted that her photograph with PM Modi was initially uploaded on Instagram and later circulated widely on X and other social media platforms. She said, “We had said she went on the Parliament delegation, and it happened there.”

Priyanka was a part of the Gorup-2 parliamentary delegation that travelled around European nations to present India’s stance against terrorism. The visit followed India’s responsive strike on Pakistan after the horrific Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 people.

Chaturvedi also expressed concerns over the Election Commission of India (ECI). She stated, “Day by day, new names are being added and removed from the rolls. Now, the system has been exposed. We have seen their press conference, and the language used was deeply unfortunate. Today, people no longer trust the Election Commission. The public will surely ask why their confidence is not being earned. It seems the Commission is focused only on winning the BJP’s trust.”
