In the now popular video, guruji is shown sitting in a black Porsche, clasping his hands in a greeting gesture as devotees line the road to catch a glimpse.
Cinematically inclined Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are among the precepts of Premanand Maharaj. Both the actress-turned-Bollywood-hunk and cricketer are reported to have visited his ashram in Nainital more than once, even bringing children along to meet the blessings of the guru, adding to people’s curiosity.
In the video, aides and police officers are seen running alongside the car, clearing the road and making way. Although the video bears the date ’04/04/2025′, information regarding the time and place of the shoot cannot be verified. HT.com was unable to verify independently the authenticity of the footage.

Another added, “That car doesn’t belong to Premanand ji. Devotees offer their cars just for him to sit in. Check the number plate—plus, the car changes every day.”
Most emphatically reiterated that the guru follows his teachings of a simple lifestyle, reporting that he does not possess such luxury goods and usually moves around in cars provided voluntarily by his devotees. The incident, which raised eyebrows, also brought to the forefront the profound respect his devotees have for him.
