Nothing is more interesting than seeing cultures unite in celebration, especially Diwali, but this sounds like a perfection in an Instagram video showing Cary Mayor Harold Weinbrecht and Morrisville Mayor TJ Cawley taking the stage to dance to Bollywood tunes at the Hum Sub Diwali celebration in North Carolina.

In one of their posts, which was shared by organizers, they stated, “This year’s Hum Sub Diwali event was indeed a celebration of togetherness and cultural pride!” They also found their experience to be the “highlight of the evening” because they danced with talented performers of the Taal Harmony Dance Group. Their energetic involvement, the organizers added, “represented more than a dance it demonstrated how our neighborhood leaders are embracing and celebrating the rich diversity that makes our Triangle community so unique.”

How India’s Rich Culture Is Expanding in Other Countries

Through this collaboration, they put the richness of Indian traditions, beats, and community culture on display in the very center of North Carolina. “Times like these remind us that Diwali’s real light shines brightest when we celebrate as one community beyond borders and backgrounds,” they concluded in their caption towards the end. The people welcomed the video on social media, having commended the participation of the mayors and their passion in the comments section.

Based on the responses of social media users, it is no longer a secret that their dance with the Taal Harmony Dance Group during the parade rehearsal charmed participants and reinforced the event’s theme of community and inclusivity.
