It’s an emotion, linked to childhood memories, and is considered superior to any meal from outside or even the best restaurants. As we speak of that, a video going viral on the internet has caught the attention, in which a mother indeed forced her child to eat homemade ‘chappal.’
Our nation is famous for its generations-long tradition of cooking innovation, but this has been recently increased when the mother cooked chappal for her children, which, amazingly, left the internet lusting.
Mummy Ke Haath Ki Chappal Goes Viral
A video posted on Instagram shows someone making Lauki Pakora, a night snack. But there is a twist. She gave the pakora a special ‘chappal’ shape by cutting the bottle gourd in that manner and creating the straps using its rind.
Once she gives it the ideal ‘chappal’ shape, she immerses it in the Besan batter and lets it marinate well. Proceeding further, she removes it from the batter and places it in hot oil, deep-frying it for a while. As it becomes golden brown and crispy, she serves it to her son on a plate of red and green chutney.
The words on the video are, “Mummy ke haath ki chappal kha raha hun.”

The video was not slow in attracting the attention of the people, and there were a number of reactions. While some found it drool-worthy, others made jokes about it. One of the Instagram users penned, “2 chappal lagado pls ek chaate ke sath.” Another shared, “Lowkey the best dish.” One of them posted, “Waah! Swaad aagya.” A user wrote, “Ab m finally lowkey kha skta hu.”
A user posted, “Next level creativity.” Another says, “Mummi:—chappal khayega, le beta: haha mummi lao.” One user wrote, “Full marks for creativity.” A user said, “Jab koi ristedaar aaye to kya app chappal khanna chahte ho?” “Give this to relatives,” another wrote.
“Kardi na juta khaane waali harkat!” a user said sarcastically. “Chappal khane ki aadat hai isko,” another joked.
Earlier, a strange video went viral on social media where one saw the bizarre sale of ‘Chaddi-Bra Pakora’ at a roadside stall. In the clip, one could see a seller heating oil in a pan and frying pakoras that were clearly shaped like underwear.
