The video quickly went viral on social media and garnered half a million views on X.

The IMD stated that the Santacruz observatory in the western suburbs recorded a rainfall of 200 mm within 24 hours until 8:30 am on Wednesday. Colaba recorded 107.4 mm of rain at the same time.
The authorities stated that the heavy rainfall and floods have brought the city to a halt. However, Mumbaikars have their own ways to enjoy, even in the middle of knee-deep water.
