Former Indian captain MS Dhoni has taken his fans by surprise by stepping into the shoes of Bollywood’s latest action hero. In a recent advertisement for electric cycle brand EMotorad, Dhoni recreated Ranbir Kapoor’s fierce Ranvijay Singh persona from the blockbuster Animal, alongside filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Dhoni’s Dramatic Entry

Sporting long hair reminiscent of Kapoor’s look in Animal, Dhoni steps out of his luxury car, mirroring one of the film’s iconic scenes. However, instead of wielding a gun, he casually walks across the road with an e-cycle in hand.

What follows is a fun exchange between Dhoni and Vanga, where the director hypes up the cricketer’s ‘acting skills.’ Vanga exclaims, “Mind-blowing, fantastic! People will go crazy!” To this, Dhoni, staying in character, responds in Animal’s signature style, “Sunayi de raha hai mujhe, behra nahi hoon mai.” (I can hear you, I’m not deaf).

As the ad progresses, Dhoni humorously questions, “Ye thoda zyada nahi ho gaya?” (Isn’t this a bit too much?). The ad concludes with Dhoni mimicking Kapoor’s final shot from the movie, leaving fans in splits.

Fans Go Wild Over the Crossover

The ad has gone viral, sparking excitement among fans of both cricket and cinema. One user commented, “EMotorad got Thala and Vanga together before GTA 6!” while another admitted, “This is the first ad I’ve Googled and watched five times!”

All Eyes on IPL 2024

As Dhoni’s playful side takes the internet by storm, cricket enthusiasts are equally eager to see him in action in IPL 2024. Set to lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the age of 43, Dhoni has been retained by the franchise for ₹4 crore and is on the brink of breaking multiple records in the upcoming season.

With his mix of cricketing prowess and Bollywood-inspired charisma, Thala continues to be a fan favorite, both on and off the field!
