Missing Parrot, Rs 1 Lakh Reward For Finding UP Man’s Beloved Pet

A resident of Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, is creating a buzz with the viral response he’s garnering by offering Rs 1 lakh as a reward to get his lost parrot, Vishnu, back. The emotional appeal of Naveen Pathak has caught everyone’s fancy on social media.
Missing Parrot

On 10 December, the precious parrot went missing; so far, there have been no signs of Vishnu despite the best efforts put by the Pathak family in locating him. Naveen, an avid lover of birds, expressed his discomfort through Facebook post stating his family is finding it impossible to deal with the death. “The children are so heartbroken that they have stopped eating,” he further wrote in his post while explaining the emotional burden imposed upon them.

The Story of Vishnus Rescue

Their two-and-a-half-year saga had started when Naveen came by the call of an injured bird near a lintel. Mud-covered and altogether unrecognisable, this bird was rescued and reared back to health, eventually becoming the family member who, after several days of care, recovered totally from illness; from then on, they decide on its naming as that of a god. In the course of a couple of years, there comes Vishnu, hanging about with Naveen often about his person, uncaged living free.

A Close Bond

What made Vishnu more special to the Pathak family was his ability to mimic human voices. He called Naveen “papa” and his wife, Jyoti“mummy.” The parrot echoed the voices of the children as well, making his absence even more heartbreaking. The family described Vishnu as more than just a pet; he was a member of the family.

The Reward Offer

A day after Naveen launched the video, he posted it on social media offering a Rs 1 lakh reward to anyone who could catch and return Vishnu. He said the disappearance of Vishnu left a vacuum in their house, and they are desperately waiting for his safe return.

The Pathaks continue to search, hoping that the popularity will help reunite them with their beloved pet.
