In a surprising incident in Gujranwala, Pakistan, a family of beggars has left many astounded by hosting an opulent feast for approximately 20,000 people, despite their claims of surviving on alms. The lavish event, held to commemorate the 40th day after their grandmother’s passing, reportedly cost a whopping 1.25 crore Pakistani rupees (around INR 38 lakh). Adding to the spectacle, the family arranged 2,000 vehicles to transport guests to the venue near Rahwali Railway Station, raising eyebrows over their apparent financial resources.
The feast featured an extensive menu of traditional delicacies, including Siri Paye, murabba, mutton, naan matar ganj (sweet rice), and a variety of desserts. To accommodate the massive turnout, around 250 goats were sacrificed. Videos capturing the grandeur of the event and the scale of the gathering quickly went viral, sparking widespread curiosity and debate.
