
A man slapped a woman at Bogotá airport over a seat dispute. The video went viral as bystanders defended her and authorities detained the attacker.
El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, Colombia, witnessed a shocking incident. A man slapped a woman over a mere argument about a seat. yes, that's right! The incident was captured on camera and went viral on social media, igniting strong reactions from the netizens.
The man was identified as Hector Santacruz. He approached Claudia Segura and demanded that she vacate a seat next to his wife.
Reportedly, Segura took the seat while Santacruz was away and upon his return, he demanded the seat back. When she denied, he hit her in rage.
“Get up or I’ll get you up,” Santacruz reportedly threatened her before things escalated.
The situation went out of hand when he asked a person to start filming the scenario. He then struck Segura's mobile phone from her hand and slapped her in the face. According to Segura, the slap was so intense that it knocked off her earring.

The passengers immediately intervened to protect Segura. Even Santacruz's wife stepped in to control the situation.
In another video, Segura is lying on the floor while the airport staff assists her. Santacruz was later handcuffed and escorted away by airport security, to the applause of bystanders.
Recalling the ordeal, Segura said, “I am affected and very afraid.” She explained that she took the seat simply because it appeared to be available.
“When I got to the waiting area, everything was completely full, and I only saw one empty chair,” she said. “It didn’t have any bags or clothes on to indicate it was occupied, so I sat down."
