Man Creates Teddy Bears From Cigarette Butts Goes Viral | WATCH

Smoking, a detrimental habit raised to hazardous health risks-leaves a mark on the ecology by littering public surfaces in frank billions of cigarette butts every fatal day. Thus, Naman Gupta, hailing from Noida, designed recycled solutions for this degeneration, catapulting him into a God Sent error of enacting dogs about cigarette butts, a social media fancy so far.

A video shared by 60 Second Docs on Instagram highlights Gupta’s endeavor, starting with a shocking statistic: “Over 4.5 trillion cigarette butts are littered across the globe every year.” Gupta explains that his company, Code Effort Private Ltd, collects and treats the butts to obtain fibers over a 24-hour biodegradable process to remove toxins before they are used as stuffing for plush toys.

Gupta emphasizes that the products are safe, saying, “These toys will be certified as safe and child-friendly. By making something tangible and relatable for young people, we create awareness among them on the topic of cigarette pollution and its effect on the planet.”

A Mixed Reaction Online

The concept has caught the world’s attention, giving the video over 250,000 views. A few have showed their thumbs up towards Gupta’s novelty; others raised their concerns about safety.

A skeptic observes: “It is a great cause, but I really doubt if these fibers are totally clean of toxins. This blessed idea could possibly put workers in danger.” Another makes an observation: “I don’t know, man… those take quite a while to decompose.”

But supporters rallied and lauded Gupta for the initiative. Comments like “Amazing idea” and “This is something unimaginable” flooded the post, with “He has certified it to be safe, let’s not fault-find” becoming a recurrent refrain.

A Step Toward Sustainability

Gupta’s initiative kicks off an essential dialogue on recycling and sustainability-a grave matter indeed-as he, by targeting cigarette waste, exemplifies how creative solutions can work wonders to address environmental issues and drive global change.
