A strange but intriguing video recently appeared on social media, with a man nonchalantly feeding a bear with a small spoon. The video, which quickly went viral, showed him talking in Russian as he interacted with the huge animal, prompting many to respond with the words, “Only in Russia.”

What shocked the viewers even more was the way the man kissed and high-fived the bear like it was a common pet. While some people thought the encounter was cute, others referred to it as extremely risky. Rumors were made about whether the bear’s teeth had been extracted to render it safer.

The clip, posted by the user ‘AMAZlNGNATURE’ on X (formerly Twitter), gained 223k likes within a day. The caption of the post read, “Are we going to tame bears next?”

People on social media were divided. “In America, dogs are man’s best friend. In Russia, bears are man’s best friend,” sneered one. Another posted, “Wow, they tamed a bear and are feeding it with a spoon! Amazing.

But some were worried about safety. “I’m sure he’s the cuddliest, nicest bear, but he can kill you in two seconds, so probably not the best idea,” said one. Another commented, “Bears cannot be domesticated, say wildlife experts such as Jeff ‘the Bear Man’ Watson, even though some people have kept them as pets, as in a 1993 case involving a Russian couple.”

‘The Daily Guardian’ was unable to verify the authenticity or whereabout of the video.
