Man Allows Minor Girl to Ride Scooter Without Helmet, Internet Is Not Happy

A video of a minor girl riding a scooter with her father as the pillion has gone viral, sparking a heated debate on social media. The young girl, dressed in her school uniform, was seen riding the scooter without wearing a helmet, raising concerns about road safety and parental responsibility.

The video, reportedly from Maharashtra, was posted on Instagram with the caption, “Shocking visuals from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.” Once shared, the clip quickly became a subject of criticism as netizens voiced their disapproval, urging parents to prioritize their children’s safety on the road.

One user commented, “Where is the helmet, sir? Na khud pehna na beti ko pehnaya hai (Neither has he worn it, nor has he made his daughter wear it).” Another person demanded, “Arrest the father,” while a third expressed, “That’s the reason so many accidents are happening. I am not sure what kind of parenting is this?”

While some users agreed that parental responsibility was lacking, with one saying, “No hate for the kid, please. Parents need to be responsible,” others also raised concerns about the girl’s age. “Ok, she is riding very nice, but it’s not age to ride and parents should take care of it, it’s very dangerous,” another comment read.

On the other hand, some defended the father, claiming that he had full control of the scooter and that the child was simply enjoying herself. A user remarked, “The father has full control over the vehicle. They are just allowing her to give some acceleration for her happiness itna social drama accha nhi (This much social drama is not good).”

Another person added, “Sabse bada support system uske peeche baitha hai! So don’t worry (The biggest support system is sitting behind her).” A similar sentiment was echoed by another user who wrote, “It’s only about the kid’s happiness. Chill.”

Since being posted, the video has garnered 4.2 million views, igniting a wide range of opinions on the matter. What’s your take on it?
