Maha Kumbh 2025: Meet 3.5-Year-Old Shravan Puri, the Youngest Baba of Juna Akhara

The Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj has united millions of devotees, saints, and spiritual leaders. Among them, a 3.5-year-old saint named Shravan Puri has captured significant attention. Recognized as the youngest Baba in the Juna Akhara, one of the largest assemblies of saints at the event, he has become a notable figure.

A Unique Lifestyle for a Young Saint

Shravan Puri Baba has been formally acknowledged as a saint by the Juna Akhara. Despite his tender age, his lifestyle reflects a deep connection to spirituality. Unlike most children his age, Shravan Puri prefers fruits over chocolates and enjoys spending time with his Guru brothers within the Akhara camp.

Maha Kumbh: A Gathering of Faith

The Maha Kumbh, held every 12 years, is among the world’s largest religious events. This year, it began on January 13 and will conclude on February 26, 2025. Devotees flock to Prayagraj for a sacred dip at the Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and the now-dry Saraswati rivers converge. Over 45 crore devotees are anticipated to participate this year.

Key bathing dates, known as Shahi Snan, include:

  • 14 January: Makar Sankranti
  • 29 January: Mauni Amavasya
  • 3 February: Basant Panchami

Extensive Arrangements for Devotees

The Uttar Pradesh government has made significant preparations for the event. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently inaugurated special shuttle and electric buses, named ‘Atal Seva,’ to facilitate the movement of devotees within Prayagraj. With over 40 crore attendees expected, facilities such as sanitation, transportation, and crowd management have been meticulously planned.
