Kim Kardashian Introduces Optimus, Tesla’s Humanoid Robot

Kim Kardashian introduced her “new friend,” Optimus, a humanoid robot by Tesla. She posted videos on Instagram, showing fun moments with the robot. The robot reportedly costs between $20,000 and $30,000.

A Fun Game of Rock-Paper-Scissors

In one clip, Kim engaged in a game of rock-paper-scissors with Optimus. She initiated the game, saying, “Umm, rock-paper-scissors.” The robot responded by raising its hands, making her laugh. “Oh, raise the roof! Yap,” she joked. Kim made her move first, and the robot followed. When it lost, she quipped, “Oh! You’re a little slow. I beat you.” Interestingly, the robot raised its hands in frustration, mimicking human behavior.

“Meet My New Friend”

Kim also introduced the robot on X with the caption, “Meet my new friend.”

In another video, she waved and asked, “Can you do this?” while forming a heart shape with her hands. To her surprise, Optimus mirrored her gesture perfectly. Kim gasped in amazement and said, “You know how to do that!”

Is the Robot Autonomous?

Reports suggest Tesla robots were previously operated by handlers during demonstrations. However, it’s unclear if Optimus acted independently in Kim’s videos or had assistance from a handler.

A Glimpse of Tesla’s Cybercab

Kim didn’t stop with the robot. She also shared a video of Tesla’s Cybercab on X with caption, “Optimus is here to take mw for a ride in the Cybercab.” Cybercab is an autonomous vehicle without a steering wheel or pedals. The clip provided a look at its sleek interior, though Kim didn’t confirm whether she plans to purchase it.

Combining Glamour and Innovation

Kim Kardashian’s interactions with Tesla’s cutting-edge technology highlight her enthusiasm for futuristic innovations, blending her celebrity charm with advancements in robotics and automation.
