A shocking incident that happened in Kattakada, a town in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram district, has sparked national outrage, with many lauding the bravery of a young woman who confronted a molester onboard a public bus.
The woman, instead of keeping quiet or feeling helpless, decided to take that one bold step that many people balk at she recorded the molester's actions on her mobile phone and then confronted him in front of everyone on the bus.

The accused man was first seen standing right next to the woman and inappropriately touching her while faking that the movement of the bus caused the accidental contact of his body to hers. As the bus continued to move, the actions became more deliberate and aggressive.

The lady immediately came into action and turned on her phone's camera and started recording his video. She then mustered the courage to yell at him.
The woman can be seen hitting his hand and repeatedly slapping him as she positions the camera to ensure that his face is fully viewed while this is happening. Her gutsy move left many online viewers speechless.
The moment the woman raised her voice and complained, the conductor immediately came forward to assist her. She told him that the man was molesting her.
People were shocked by the response, or rather lack of response, of other passengers. Not a single passenger stood up or tried to intervene. Everybody sat silently, continuing to watch the incident instead of helping her.
People from across social media reacted strongly to the video. Several people responded in disgust over the man's behavior. Others praised the courage of the woman and her presence of mind for recording and exposing the molester.
“Even 100% literacy cannot change someone’s mindset,” was the comment by one user. Another user was of the view, “Ye har jagah jhelna padta hai ladkiyon ko (Women have to deal with such behavior everywhere).”
This incident has sparked debates again on women's safety in public transport and the need to raise one's voice against harassment.
