A disastrous chain-reaction collision on the Westbound 10 Freeway in Ontario, Canada on Tuesday afternoon has fueled national outrage, not only at the viciousness of the accident, but the illigal immigration and drug facts involved in the driver. Authorities have named the driver allegedly behind the crash as 21-year-old Jashanpreet Singh of Yuba City, California. He was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and vehicular manslaughter after his Freightliner tractor-trailer crashed into several other vehicles in a gruesome pile-up that killed three and injured at least four.
The Dashcam Footage That Went Viral
The impact moment was also said to have been caught on the semitruck’s own dashcam, affirming a haunting absence of driver action. An onlooker reported to ABC News that the truck just didn’t swerve or stop. “It didn’t stop. It didn’t swerve. It didn’t make any kind of maneuvers. It just went straight in,” one witness described, recalling the horrifying scene just east of the 15 Freeway interchange. CHP said that the driver was taken to the hospital, where police found him to be driving while under the influence of drugs.
Video got viral just after uploading on social media by police incident named account.

Victims and Unanswered Questions
The accident has destroyed several families. One of the victims was identified as a 54-year-old man from Upland, although his name has not been made public yet. Unfortunately, the two other victims were burned so badly in the wreckage that their identities cannot be ascertained, and their families are left with a tragic and painful wait.
“For us officers, it’s terribly horrible to witness, not only the dead individual, but knowing that the family of this individual is going to be told the worst news of their lifetime,” said CHP Officer Rodrigo Jimenez.
Illegal Immigration and the Trucking Industry Scandal
As if the DUI and several fatalities weren’t enough, an ABC News law enforcement source reported that Singh is an Indian citizen who is illegally in the United States, arriving in 2022.
This new revelation immediately causes outrage, comparing it to other recent deadly crashes by commercial truck drivers with dubious legal and licensing status. It has again fueled hot debate about the qualification standards for California’s commercial drivers and immigration enforcement debate.
