The accident has destroyed several families. One of the victims was identified as a 54-year-old man from Upland, although his name has not been made public yet. Unfortunately, the two other victims were burned so badly in the wreckage that their identities cannot be ascertained, and their families are left with a tragic and painful wait.
“For us officers, it’s terribly horrible to witness, not only the dead individual, but knowing that the family of this individual is going to be told the worst news of their lifetime,” said CHP Officer Rodrigo Jimenez.
