A bizarre, brief marriage in Indonesia has gone viral on social media. A man identified as Khoo made the headlines after marrying his rice cooker, then reversing the unusual wedding just four days later.
The ceremony, while not legally valid, was taken seriously, and soon the photos of the ceremony started circulating on social media. Khoo was dressed in a white suit, while the rice cooker was adorned with a white veil.
Khoo was beaming with praises for his new 'bride' on their wedding day. He had likened the rice cooker to a perfect spouse. "It's fair, obedient, and doesn't talk back," he supposedly uttered. For him, the appliance symbolized an easy-going relationship without quarrels and disagreements that are typical in human marriages. The thought of a quiet, perfect, non-complaining spouse was very attractive.
Sadly for the newlyweds, their bliss did not last long. Khoo soon discovered that although the rice cooker was great at doing one thing, it could not do much else. The primary reason for the divorce was straightforward: the rice cooker "could only cook rice."

Marriage, even unconventional marriage, is sharing a life and having all sorts of different needs fulfilled. Khoo understood that a cooking appliance, however dependable for preparing rice, could not serve as a life partner. It could not offer encouragement, talk, or prepare meals of different kinds. The absence of diversity and companionship promptly caused him to terminate the weird marriage.
Khoo's innovative move was obviously a joke or an online comedy. It was intended as a form of humor to take a jab at the idea of relationships and the kind of attributes that individuals seek when it comes to their partner. The entire incident was intended to be funny and entertaining for his fans.
