‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ Core: Husband Arranges Wife’s Wedding With Her Boyfriend

A mother of three from Saharsa, Bihar, recently remarried her boyfriend, a father of two, with the full consent and support of her husband. The woman’s husband, despite their 12-year marriage, not only approved of her relationship with her boyfriend but even played a role in arranging the wedding. This event has captured much of the attention, as social media buzzes with talk of love, relationships, and societal norms.

After marrying the two lovers had been living in love together for 12 long years. The couple now amicably decided to separate. A video clip of the marriage ceremony shot and put on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, by ‘Ghar Ke Kalesh’ shows how the new boyfriend applies vermilion to the woman’s forehead, a ritual which symbolises sealing of their bond.

The woman’s ex-husband who was present in the wedding said that issues in future will be couple’s not his. The responses to such a bizarre relationship have been mixed ranging from appreciation for the husband’s maturity to queries over modern relationship complexities.

In another unusual wedding story, a newlywed bride in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, left her husband and his family stunned on their wedding night with her unexpected demands. During the Muh Dikhai ceremony, she asked for beer, marijuana (ganja), and goat meat. While the groom agreed to her request for beer, the tension rose when she insisted on the other items. Uncomfortable, the groom went to his family for defense, which escalated into an argument and ended up with the involvement of local police.

Things took a dramatic turn at the police counseling session when the groom’s family made a sensational claim that the bride was not a woman but of the third gender. Shockingly, neither family filed a complaint. Instead, the police brokered the situation and suggested that both families resolve the matter amicably.
