Heroic Teen Lifts Autorickshaw Off Mother After Accident | Watch

In a dramatic incident in Mangalore, a teenager’s swift and brave response to an autorickshaw accident has captured widespread attention on social media. The viral video shows the young girl lifting the autorickshaw off her mother, who had been pinned beneath it after being struck by the speeding vehicle. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has publicly praised the girl’s actions.

Incident Details

The accident occurred when a woman, who was on her way to pick up her daughter from tuition, was hit by an autorickshaw while crossing the street. The vehicle, which had previously collided with a man at a petrol pump, struck the woman and knocked her to the ground. The girl, arriving at the scene with remarkable composure, managed to lift the autorickshaw off her mother and rescue another passenger inside the vehicle. Witnesses quickly came to assist, and the girl’s actions were recognized as life-saving.

How Social Media Users Reacted?

The incident has sparked online discussions, with many applauding the girl’s bravery. One user commented, “That girl must be given some award. Instead of taking video, she immediately jumped to help. We need more youngsters like her.”

However, the accident also highlighted concerns about road safety and emergency response. A user named Rajit noted, “Auto at fault for speeding. The woman is at fault for crossing the road with zero sense and not stopping. Everyone is at fault for picking her up after she got crushed. Call an ambulance, and DON’T move the patient in such situations unless they’re in immediate danger. You could do more damage.”

CM Siddaramaiah Praises The Girl

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took to X (formerly Twitter) to commend the girl, emphasizing the importance of timely action in emergencies. He remarked, “Recently, I have seen many times in the media that people who were supposed to rush to the aid of the victims were standing around and making videos on mobile phones at the accident sites, which made me worried about the future days. The action of this little girl seems to send a message to the entire society. Every second is precious for the victims of an accident, fire, or heart attack. Don’t forget humanity.”
