A man has been taken into custody following an incident of vandalism at a Hanuman temple in the Airport Colony area of Shamshabad, Rangareddy district, Telangana. Local police reported that the temple property was damaged on Tuesday, prompting an immediate response. “The property of the Hanuman temple at the Airport colony has been damaged. We have deployed our team, and local police are on-site,” said B Rajesh, DCP of Shamshabad, to ANI. According to preliminary reports, the suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly caused damage to the temple structure before being detained by authorities.
In response, locals gathered in protest, demanding strict action against the perpetrator and calling for the swift restoration of the temple property. Police officials are in discussions with members of the temple committee to address restoration efforts. “We are also speaking with temple committee members regarding the restoration of the damaged property,” DCP Rajesh added. The incident has heightened tensions in the area, as residents urge authorities to ensure the temple’s protection and hold the vandal accountable.
