Guinness Records Alert: Just 15 Seconds, Lightening Speed Drinking Of One Litre Of Acidic Lemon

A German Guinness World Records enthusiast by the name Andre Ortolf reclaimed two former records of drinking lemon and lime juice at record speed. Andre has been well-known for his taste in “drinking and eating records.” Two such records have been completed on the same day, indicating the endurance and skill possessed by Andre.

Andre set the record for drinking one litre of lemon juice through a straw in 13.30 seconds. On the same day, he also regained the title for the fastest time to drink one litre of lime juice through a straw by doing it in 13.51 seconds.

These records were previously held by David Rush from the United States in 2024, but Andre’s determination and preparation helped him reclaim both titles.

The Technique Behind the Triumph

Speaking about his technique, Andre said that, “For both of the records, it becomes essential to draw quickly out of the straw. He keeps swallowing as little of it as possible and permits the juice to run, thus saving time.

Andre admitted that it was not easy to attempt both records in one day, especially because lime juice is more acidic than lemon juice. He commented on his decision, “It was probably not the best idea, but I was very motivated and had all the witnesses present, so I thought, ‘Why not?'”

Andre has smashed more than 500 records during his professional career and presently owns over 100 official Guinness World Records. Perhaps one day he’ll become that person who has set world records the most.

A Passion for Records

The love of competitive eating and drinking for Andre has really helped him stand out among people in the Guinness World Records community. He has dedication and an approach that sets the bar and continues to be a great inspiration for other people to attempt their extraordinary feats.
