In a shocking display of road rage, a dozen men engaged in a violent brawl on a busy road in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday. The incident, captured on video and shared widely on social media, unfolded as two groups clashed over a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the traffic.
The video depicts a chaotic scene where slaps and punches are exchanged amid shouting and screaming. One participant grabs a plank of wood from the roadside and pursues another individual, striking him on the back. As the confrontation escalates, men grapple with one another, attempting to shove each other to the ground.
The brawl occurred on a service road, where several bystanders watched as the altercation unfolded. Haphazardly parked cars cluttered the area, creating obstacles as the fighters hurled abuses and chased each other along the road.
Witnesses to the brawl couldn’t help but draw parallels to a similar incident in Baghpat, which had gone viral in 2021. One X user humorously remarked, “There is a battle on the road; two groups clashed over driving a vehicle on the wrong side, and then memories of the fight from Baghpat were refreshed.” Another user quipped, “After the chaat battle in Baghpat, we present the Ghaziabad wrong side car battle. More such battles are yet to come,” highlighting the absurdity of the situation.
In response to the viral footage, the Ghaziabad Police Commissioner’s X account confirmed that six individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident. “A case has been registered at Masuri police station, and further legal proceedings are underway,” the post stated.
This violent altercation serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of road rage and the importance of responsible driving. As social media continues to react to the incident, it raises questions about road safety and conflict resolution in public spaces.
