“First Night When He Was A Client And I Was A Worker”: Australian-Based Model Nova Hawthorne Shares Pros Of Being With An Older Partner

Nova Hawthorne, a 29-year-old model from Melbourne, Australia, has been in a relationship with her partner, James, 63, for five years after they met online. Initially, Nova was drawn to James due to his generosity and the special way he made her feel. Over time, she felt a deeper connection develop and now doesn’t let their significant age difference affect her feelings for him.

As Nova explained, “There was chemistry right from the start, even on the first night when he was a client and I was a worker. Then it became clear to me in the first few weeks that he understood me – he ‘saw’ me for who I was – and at that point, the whole thing fitted together really easily.”

Nova shared that they spent a considerable amount of time discussing various topics, which deepened her attraction. During these conversations, they touched on subjects like the environment, politics, and society’s perspectives on justice and injustice. The more they talked, the more Nova realized that James was not only a good person but also someone she found highly compatible. She highlighted that what initially sparked her attraction was his intellect and compassion.

Despite all the positives, Nova acknowledged the natural differences that arise from being at different stages of life. Reflecting on her experience, she noted the unique benefits of dating an older man, explaining, “He behaves like a man, not a boy.” She appreciates his generally calm demeanor, except for occasional complaints about traffic, and his straightforward approach, adding that he doesn’t “play games,” likely meaning he is committed and trustworthy.

According to Nova, James brings extensive life experience and business knowledge, which he shares with her in a mentor-like way. She considers this wisdom the most valuable gift he’s given her, as it has boosted her confidence and empowered her to be more self-reliant.
