Father Arrested Over Circulation Of Daughter’s Private Videos

In a distressing incident, a woman has filed a complaint against her husband for allegedly distributing private videos of their 18-year-old daughter on social media platforms. The daughter, devastated by the incident, attempted suicide by consuming toxic Phenyle and is currently in critical condition at a government hospital in Udupi city.

According to the complaint, the father was displeased with his daughter’s relationship with a relative from Thirthahalli. He reportedly called the boyfriend to their home, assaulted him, and forcibly extracted private videos and photos from his phone, which he then circulated online.

Following this, the father allegedly physically abused both his daughter and wife, resulting in injuries to both. Overwhelmed by the humiliation caused by the viral videos, the daughter attempted suicide on Friday.

The girl’s mother lodged a formal complaint at the CEN Police Station in Udupi, prompting an investigation into the matter. Police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing as they gather further details surrounding the incident.
