There are some tales that have a special way of spreading happiness, and this is one of them. A viral video has appeared, showing the heartwarming moment a photographer shot portraits of a random elderly couple who had never had a single photo together in their lives.
Shared by Aakash Upadhyay on Instagram, the tearful clip features the couple’s invaluable reaction seeing their picture for the first time. In the video, there is an overlay text reading, “Sometimes the things we take for granted are the very dreams of others.”
The video starts with the photographer walking up to the couple and asking them if he could take their picture. They say yes, taking direction from him as he puts them into position. They mention at one stage that their clothes are dirty, but the photographer assures them. Once he has taken their portraits, he inquires when they had last had a photograph taken together.
Their response was surprising: “Aaj tak kabhi nahi khichwayi photo ek saath” (We have never had a picture taken together before).

A few minutes later, he hands them a printed copy of their photo. The couple is visibly overwhelmed, stunned, and overjoyed by the gesture.
The woman, filled with emotion, adds, “Someday, when we’re no more, our children will look at this picture and say, these were our parents.”
The couple holds the photo, their faces lighting up with happiness.
The video has amassed over 5 lakh views on Instagram, with many praising the photographer’s kindness. The comments section is filled with heartfelt messages and a flood of red-heart and teary-eyed emojis.
