Investing in realty firms may now be the way it is. Still, the potentially profitable venture comes with its own set of risks. Apart from economic downturns, cycles in the market, and interest rates, there is also the risk of projects being stalled or cancelled, with returns becoming impossible to retrieve. Recently, one such entrepreneur from New Delhi shared about being put through a similar harrowing experience after investing Rs 10 lakh in a business project at Noida. It was through a social media entry that the money was recovered.
The entrepreneur posted an update about this by sharing the complete story on X. The lady disclosed that she and her father had invested Rs 10 lakh in the Noida project, but unfortunately, it was suspended. While the lady did not provide any explanation for the suspension, she revealed that the realty assistant was of no use when the lady and her sought help from them. Despite tagging the firm’s director and the concerned authorities, the father-daughter duo received no response.
Entrepreneur Describes Difficulty In Obtaining A Refund
Sharing her experience, the businesswoman further added, “When we requested our refund, their realty assistant kept us waiting from week to week. He made us undergo stupid formalities and then stopped taking calls after 4 months of continuous follow-up. My dad himself visited their office number of times, but every visit concluded with ‘just give us 15 days more. It was frustrating and stressful.”
The woman admitted to feeling “stuck” when messaging the company’s senior people on LinkedIn proved futile.

How she recovered the refund:
“That’s when I thought of using Twitter (now X). I messaged the director of the company, who has a good following here. The very next day, I received a call from his team. They guaranteed the refund within 10 days. On the 10th day, I received the money in my bank account. Not only that, they dropped the cheque at my residence in 4 days.”
The internet praised the woman for her perseverance. “You should tag that director here so other people can stop becoming victims of scams like this,” a user suggested. “What a stressful situation! It’s inspiring how you persisted and found a solution,” another person commended. “X is turning out to be useful & not a waste of time,” a comment read.
