A speeding vehicle dropped off the Mukarba Chowk flyover in Delhi and came crashing onto a railway track near Haiderpur metro station on Sunday morning, police added. The vehicle overturned onto the tracks below the Ring Road, but, surprisingly, no serious injuries were reported.
The 35-year-old driver, Sachin Chaudhary, sustained only minor shoulder and face injuries. “These are two different and independent incidents. No accident related to the motorcycle has been reported,” Deputy Commissioner of police (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami informed PTI.
The accident, according to police, took place when Chaudhary, who was driving from Peeragarhi to Ghaziabad, lost control on the part of the flyover that is over the railway tracks. “The vehicle hit the pavement, overshot the flyover railings, rolled down the grassy slope, and landed upside down on the tracks,” DCP Swami explained.
