The fortunate fan who had the opportunity to give Coldplay frontman Chris Martin a scooter ride in Ahmedabad, Malay Adalja had an even more unforgettable weekend. He visited Chris Martin’s father at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat when he attended the show of the British rock band.
Posting on Instagram, Adalja captioned images of the unique occasion, “I attended @coldplay Chris Martin’s performance today and met his father, Sir Anthony John Martin.”

Most notable was the dialogue that ensued in the meeting. Adalja took Anthony Martin his selfie with Chris; the singer’s father was astounded and questions, “The scooter guy is you?” Adalja later remember, “He was completely astounded by how everything came about and even stated, ‘The scooter guy is YOU?’ Such a memorable event.”
Earlier, along with Adalja’s selfie with the singer, a viral video of Chris Martin on the scooter ride with Adalja had gone around. After three shows in Mumbai from January 18-21, Coldplay’s last Indian tour stop took place at Ahmedabad.
