Renowned chef Vikas Khanna paid a soulful tribute to Indian heritage and personal memories with the presentation of the iconic Mysore Sandalwood Soap, which he made to Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway during her visit to his well-known New York restaurant, Bungalow.

The gesture carried deep emotional value for Khanna, as he was paying homage to his deceased sister, Radha, who had sought solace in Hathaway’s films while she was in the hospital. Along with the soap, he gifted a handcrafted Agra marble box and the book Kiss in Kashmir.

Khanna shared in an emotional Instagram post how he and Radha had repeatedly watched The Devil Wears Prada and Sex and the City during her hospital stays. It was these moments that made Radha laugh and also adore Hathaway. After Radha’s death, Khanna could not see the films as it reminded him of the bad times. The visit of Hathaway to his restaurant brought good memories, and he could celebrate his sister’s memory. Khanna shared a touching photoshopped image of his sister with Hathaway on the occasion.
