The mishap occurred during a wedding procession (‘baraat’) heading from Gandweda village to Dehradun. Amidst the celebrations, two individuals lit firecrackers from the sunroof of a decorated car. Sparks from the crackers ignited boxes of fireworks stored inside the vehicle, quickly engulfing the car in flames.

Two individuals inside the car sustained injuries in the fire. They were rescued by the groom’s brother, Javed, and rushed to receive medical attention. Fortunately, no other attendees or bystanders were harmed as the fire was contained.
