A viral video from Tikamgarh District Hospital has sparked outrage online, exposing alarming lapses in basic healthcare services. The clip shows a young boy standing beside his father, holding a glucose bottle in the absence of an IV stand.

The incident occurred on April 8, when Pappu Ahirwar, a resident of Sundarpur village, was admitted with severe kidney pain. Upon reaching the hospital, Ahirwar and his son were reportedly informed that no IV stand was available. Hospital staff handed the glucose bottle directly to the boy, leaving him to hold it as his father received treatment.

Hospital authorities acknowledged the incident, stating that a ward boy had been dispatched to retrieve an IV stand at the time. Civil Surgeon Dr. Amit Shukla has since ordered an inquiry to determine responsibility and ensure corrective action.

The video has drawn widespread criticism on social media, with users expressing disbelief and anger at the hospital’s inability to provide such a basic facility. Many have called for immediate accountability and infrastructural improvements.

This incident has once again brought to light the need for urgent reforms in government hospital infrastructure and protocols to ensure patients are treated with the dignity and care they deserve.
