Blinkit Launches Temporary Store at Maha Kumbh Mela, Receives Praise for ‘Incredible Initiative

The Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, which attracts millions of devotees and visitors, is being backed by Blinkit through the establishment of a temporary store. Blinkit’s CEO, Albinder Dhindsa, shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Today, we’ve opened a temporary Blinkit store in Maha Kumbh Mela, Prayagraj, to serve pilgrims and tourists. ”

The 100 sq ft store is strategically located to provide essentials to key areas such as Arail Tent City, Dome City, ITDC Luxury Camp, and Devrakh. The store’s inventory has been carefully organized to meet the attendees’ needs, offering pooja essentials, milk, curd, fruits and vegetables, as well as chargers, power banks, towels, blankets, bedsheets, and Triveni Sangam Jal bottles, ensuring convenience for visitors.

The tweet mentioned: “Today we’ve opened a temporary Blinkit store in Maha Kumbh Mela, Prayagraj to serve pilgrims and tourists. This one is a 100 sq ft store which will be delivered in Arail Tent City, Dome City, ITDC Luxury Camp, Devrakh, and other important locations of the Maha Kumbh Mela. Our teams are ready to provide a specially curated selection like pooja essentials, milk, curd, fruits and vegetables (for personal use as well as for daan), chargers, power banks, towels, blankets, bedsheets and more. We’ve also got Triveni Sangam Jal bottles available. ”

The initiative has received a warm response online, with users appreciating the convenience offered to pilgrims.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation has put in place measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for the devotees. The mela area has been designated a “no vehicle zone” to improve safety and control crowds.
