A shocking incident in Melbourne, Australia, has stirred outrage as the group of Khalistani activists desecrated the national flag of India outside the iconic MCG. The disturbing incident captured on video shows them waving Khalistan flags while kicking a football wrapped in the tricolour of India, inciting widespread condemnation.

Indian Nationals Respond with Courage

In a show of patriotism, Indian nationals present at the scene confronted the group. Chanting “India, India,” they pushed back against the provocative behaviour. The confrontation remained verbal, with police officers deployed to manage the tense situation and prevent escalation.

Outrage on Social Media

The footage has gone viral, prompting calls for strict action against those responsible. Social media users and community leaders have condemned the incident. One user remarked, “Disrespecting the Tiranga is unforgivable! Kudos to the patriot who confronted these Khalistanis boldly.”

Another said, “This is absolutely unacceptable and deeply disrespectful. The Tiranga is a symbol of our nation’s pride, and such actions must be condemned.”

Growing Concerns Over Separatist Activities

The incident has raised questions about the increasing audacity of separatist groups abroad. Many have urged authorities to adopt stricter measures to curb such provocative behaviour. An Indian fan present at the scene dismissed the act, saying, “They are just 5-10 people who have never been to Punjab. Let’s not give them any limelight.”

Cricket Takes a Backseat

Meanwhile, India and Australia faced off in the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Despite the intense on-field action, the incident outside MCG has overshadowed the sporting spectacle, drawing attention to the need for stronger measures against such divisive activities.

This act of disrespect has united Indians worldwide, emphasising the importance of standing firm against any affront to national pride.
