Arkansas Doctor Loses License After Shocking Naked Video — ‘Very Poor Decision,’ Says Physician

The Arkansas Medical Board has suspended Dr. David Diffine’s medical license for five years after a video surfaced of him naked and performing a sexual act in his clinic. Officials cited dishonesty, failed polygraphs, and a risk to patient safety in their decision.

The Arkansas Medical Board has barred a Blytheville family doctor from practicing medicine for the next five years after a disturbing video emerged showing him walking naked and performing a sexual act inside his own clinic.

According to KATV, Dr. David Diffine, a self-described nudist, faced a disciplinary hearing this week where the board voted to revoke his medical license until August 2030.

Footage at the Center of the Case

The incriminating footage, recorded in 2019 at Dr. Diffine’s Mississippi County family practice, allegedly showed him strolling through the office wearing nothing but a ball cap. Testimony presented during the hearing revealed that the recordings also depicted him engaging in a sexual act.

Nick Shull, a witness for the Attorney General’s Office, testified that the video clearly showed the physician inappropriately behaving in a professional setting.

Confrontation Over False Statements

During the hearing, Deputy Attorney General Doralee Chandler challenged Dr. Diffine about his previous denials of being nude around clients. Under questioning, he admitted that he had lied. “I mean, yeah,” Diffine conceded when asked if his earlier statements were false.

Investigators also revealed that the doctor entered the reception area while three women—both employees and patients—were present and engaged in a sexual act with one of them. Diffine described the encounter as consensual, calling it “a very, very poor decision.”

Consent Doesn’t Excuse Misconduct

Chandler pressed the doctor on whether mutual consent changes the seriousness of sexual contact between a physician and a patient. Diffine agreed that it does not.The Deputy Attorney General accused him of repeatedly lying, failing polygraph tests, and trying to downplay the severity of his actions.

“He failed polygraphs but wants you to believe… this would never happen again,” Chandler told the board.

Pattern of Dishonesty and Poor Judgment

The hearing highlighted what prosecutors called a pattern of dishonesty in Dr. Diffine’s explanations. Before the meeting concluded, the physician addressed the board:“It matters to my family and my friends because that’s not the person that I am… there were some bad decisions made on my part, and I take full responsibility and accountability for that.”

Board Rules to Protect Patients

Ultimately, the Arkansas Medical Board determined that allowing Dr. Diffine to continue practicing would put future patients at risk. Under the ruling, he will not be eligible to apply for reinstatement until August 2030.

The case has reignited discussions about professional boundaries, patient safety, and the ethical responsibilities of healthcare providers.
