Anushka Sharma Takes Over the Screen in India-Australia Test Match, Fans React ‘Match Bhi Dikha Do’

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma was spotted in the stands at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Sunday, showing her support for her husband, Virat Kohli, during the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Dressed casually in a striped white and blue shirt, Anushka joined the crowd, cheering as Kohli showcased some of his signature shots.

Her appearance at the match delighted many fans, especially when she was seen smiling in appreciation after Kohli’s brilliant stroke play.

Cameraman Draws Fans’ Ire for Focusing More on Anushka

However, not all reactions were positive. Viewers on social media expressed their frustration over the camera’s tendency to focus on Anushka Sharma more than the actual game. Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their displeasure, complaining about the excessive camera time given to the actress rather than focusing on the action on the field. One user humorously remarked, “Cameraman bhai anushka sharma se mann bhar gaya ho toh thoda saa match bhi dikha do,” while another pointed out, “Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 161 runs in his first Test in Australia, but the cameraman hyped Anushka Sharma more than him.”

HAVE A LOOK CAMERA’S FOCUS ON ANUSHKA SHARMA:

A Recurring Issue

This isn’t the first time fans have raised concerns about broadcasters giving undue attention to Anushka during matches. On previous occasions, similar complaints have surfaced when the camera frequently panned to her, overshadowing key moments of the game.

India’s Strong Performance on Day 3

While Anushka’s presence generated online buzz, the on-field action was equally captivating. On Day 3 of the Test, Yashasvi Jaiswal played a stellar knock, scoring 161 runs in his debut Test in Australia. Kohli, unbeaten on 40, helped India to 359/5 in their second innings, establishing a 405-run lead by tea. India’s dominance on the field continued to add to the excitement of the match.

Anushka’s Support Alongside Fellow WAG Sanjana Ganesan

Anushka wasn’t the only celebrity in the stands. She was accompanied by Sanjana Ganesan, wife of Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah, as the two cheered on Team India. Both actresses were seen encouraging the Indian squad, who continued to perform well against Australia, much to the disappointment of local fans
