Akshay Kumar Donates Rs. 1 Crore to Support Monkey Feeding Program in Ayodhya

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has taken a compassionate step this Diwali season by joining an initiative to feed Ayodhya’s monkey population, a city rich in its connection to Lord Ram. In a generous move, Akshay donated ₹1 crore for this cause, paying tribute to his parents, Hari Om and Aruna Bhatia, and his father-in-law, the late Rajesh Khanna, by having their names inscribed on the feeding van.

This feeding initiative, managed by the Anjaneya Sewa Trust and led by Jagatguru Swami Raghavacharya Ji Maharaj, aims to care for the monkey population while maintaining cleanliness. Trust founder Priya Gupta highlighted Akshay’s longstanding reputation for kindness and generosity, whether toward his family, staff, or co-workers. Praising his commitment, she stated, “I have always known Akshay Kumar to be an extremely kind and generous man, be it his staff, his crew or co-actors that work with him or each of his family members. He not only donated instantly and generously, but also he dedicated this great sewa in the name of both his parents Hari Om and Aruna Bhatia and his father-in-law Rajesh Khanna.”

Gupta also noted Akshay’s sensitivity to Ayodhya’s citizens, affirming, “Akshay is not just a generous donor but also an equally socially conscious citizen of India. He was equally concerned about the citizens and city of Ayodhya, and thus we will ensure that no citizen gets inconvenienced while we feed the monkeys, and there is no littering on the streets of Ayodhya as a result of feeding the monkeys.”

On the professional front, Akshay is set to light up the screen this Diwali in ‘Singham Again’, directed by Rohit Shetty. The action-packed film will also feature Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff. Akshay’s lineup further includes ‘Housefull 5’, ‘Welcome To the Jungle’, and ‘Bhooth Bangla’, promising an exciting year ahead for his fans.
