An AIIMS, New Delhi, professor has commended Blinkit’s ambulance service after the hospital received a patient brought in through the quick-response scheme. Deepak Agrawal, a Neurosurgery Professor, expressed his appreciation for the service on LinkedIn, terming it ‘a healthcare revolution India has been waiting for’. His comment attracted considerable attention online soon after.

Agrawal explained in his LinkedIn update how the AIIMS Trauma Centre received a patient who was transported by Blinkit’s ambulance service. He commended the paramedic team for their professionalism and effectiveness, as they administered critical care during the journey. From maintaining C-spine immobilization to giving emergency drugs, the ambulance crew were responsible for stabilizing the patient for immediate treatment on arrival.

“This is the sort of service that we would hear about and see in developed nations,” Agrawal said, emphasizing that the quality of the care was well beyond expectations. He included a photo of the patient receiving care at the trauma center, demonstrating the rapid response and the effect it had on the outcome.
