A highly charged political atmosphere in the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections suddenly saw an unexpected moment of celebrity endorsement go viral, courtesy of actor Neha Sharma.

Daughter of former Congress MLA Ajeet Singh, Sharma publicly extended support to the opposition Congress–RJD Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) through a short video clip that went viral on X.

In the video, when asked about her political allegiance, Sharma clearly said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

However, what went most viral was her slight fumble when trying to say the name of RJD’s young face, Tejashwi Yadav, momentarily referring to his estranged elder brother, Tej Pratap Yadav, before immediately correcting.

The brief slip of the tongue inadvertently underscored the ongoing political and family drama surrounding the Yadav family. Tej Pratap has remained peripheral, noted for his controversial career that is marked by defeat from the Mahua constituency and subsequent isolation from both the family and the RJD.

His public life has been marked by personal controversy, particularly after posting a photo with his alleged partner, Anushka Yadav, claiming a 12-year-long relationship, further deepening his rift with the mainstream RJD leadership.

Though Mahagathbandhan got high-profile support, the final result of the election revealed a close race that ultimately tilted in favor of the incumbent coalition.

The Question of the Next BJP Chief Minister

Ahead of the Bihar Election result declaration on Friday, Chirag Paswan said that he firmly believed that Nitish Kumar would continue to remain the state’s chief minister.

“I firmly believe that Nitish Kumar will remain the Bihar chief minister. Arrogance is the cause for the opposition’s humiliating loss, and it is the sole factor that led to its downfall,” Paswan had said. “Our overwhelming victory is on account of the strength of the double-engine government, which is led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and our chief minister Nitish Kumar in the state.

The people of Bihar have reposed complete faith in the unity of the NDA partners, which has led to this win,” he added.
