A Dead Man Requests…’: Bengaluru Engineer’s Final Plea To Trump And Musk Sparks Attention

Atul Subhash, a 34-year-old man who tragically took his own life at his Bengaluru apartment on Monday, posted a disturbing message on social media before his death. In his last post on X, he claimed that “a legal genocide of men is happening in India,” and tagged US President-elect Donald Trump and tech mogul Elon Musk, urging them to “save millions of lives from woke ideologies, abortion, DEI.” He also called for the restoration of freedom of speech in India.

Subhash shared a link to a 90-minute video, explaining his struggles, in which he wrote, “I will be dead when you will read this. A legal genocide of men happening in India currently. A dead man is requesting Elon Musk and Donald Trump to save millions of lives from woke ideologies, abortion, DEI and restore freedom of speech in India.”

Subhash, a deputy general manager at a private firm in Bengaluru, left behind a 24-page suicide note, accusing his estranged wife and her family of harassment. He also filmed a video detailing his situation before taking his life. The matter quickly gained attention on social media, prompting the Bengaluru police to take action. They have registered a case of abetment to suicide and have launched an investigation.

According to initial findings, Subhash had been facing marital problems, with his wife filing multiple cases against him in Uttar Pradesh. In the video, Subhash mentioned, “My wife has registered nine cases against me. Six cases are in the lower court and three in the high court.” He also sent his suicide note via email and shared it with a WhatsApp group linked to an NGO he was part of. Subhash had hung a placard in his home that read “Justice is due.”

In the video, Subhash discussed a 2022 case against him, his parents, and his brother, which included serious charges such as murder, dowry harassment, and unnatural sex. However, his wife later withdrew the allegations. She clarified during cross-examination that the murder accusations, alleging her father died due to his demand for money, were false. She stated that her father had passed away in 2019 after battling chronic illnesses.

Subhash also requested that all hearings in his case be conducted live and that his suicide note and video be accepted as evidence. He demanded that custody of his child be granted to his parents, and that neither his wife nor her family should have access to his body.
